Amanda received her undergraduate degree from Wilfred Laurier University with distinction in Kinesiology in 2003 and her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2005. She is a member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Amanda has worked for over 10 years in the orthopaedic clinic setting, which has involved rehabilitation and treatment of work and sports injuries, injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, TMJ problems, arthritis and joint issues and a variety of soft tissue injuries. She also has extensive experience working with pre/post-surgical patients, minor neurological conditions, as well as with creating work conditioning and core strengthening programs.
Amanda has continued her education in orthopaedic manual therapy, acupuncture, concussion management, Kinesio taping, Reflexology and has trained with the Jenings Training Centre in full body myofascial release techniques. Through her prior volunteer work as a student trainer for the WLU varsity football team, as a provincial and varsity figure skater and figure skating coach, and in a variety of onsite positions as a Physiotherapist on the sports field, such as at the Canadian Junior Men’s Fastball Championships, she has gained an extensive knowledge and experience in sports rehabilitation and sports taping.
